What is Student Health Insurance?

Health insurance provides money to pay for the medical expenses described in the insurance brochure.

Insurance premiums are a certain and budgetable expense in exchange for the insurance company assuming the uncertain and potentially very large expenses that could arise from an accident or sickness.

Student health insurance is only available to eligible students of participating schools, colleges and universities. Some schools require coverage to be purchased, while some will waive the obligation to buy coverage if evidence of alternate coverage is provided. And, some schools offer supplemental health coverage over and above either the basic program or alternate coverage that you may have in place.

You should review the coverages and other terms and conditions of programs offered by your school.
